			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Being diagnosed with a serious illness really opened my eyes to that fact that I needed to improve my nutritional intake. It was discovered during the diagnostic process that I had allergies to dairy products and eggs. I had never been aware of this before. I was not really surprised to find out about these allergies. But, since I was a big cheese-eater, I was very concerned that I now had to give it up. Finally, all of the years I had suffered with migraine headaches and chronic sinusitis now were explained. After 35 years of daily Afrin use, when I dropped the dairy, my sinuses cleared and Afrin lost one of their best customers!</p>
<p>Most of the migraines I was getting at least once a week, for the most part stopped.  It was amazing to me that I could suffer all of these years with these chronic conditions and never relate them to my reliance on dairy products. Since my health became of utmost importance to me, I had to leave the cheese behind and find substitutes that I could live with. I wasn't sure I would be able to replicate the texture and taste of the cheeses I had loved for so long. I was willing to compromise to a point.</p>
<p>Quickly finding out that I was far from the only person dealing with dairy allergies, I was able to find some great options that worked well with my lifestyle. I can actually make some decent substitutes at home! I found some great raw food cookbooks (such as “Raw Food, Real World” by Matthew Kenney and Sarma Melngailis and “Living Raw Food” by Sarma Melngailis).</p>
<p>Also, amazingly, Google is an incredibly vast resource to so many wonderful <a href="http://www.mycheaphealthymeals.com/cheap-healthy-meals/healthy-meal-ideas-brown-rice-pasta-and-fresh-broccoli">healthy meal ideas</a> and resources for vegan cheeses. I found and adapted some great recipes and with some creativity, came up with a couple of my own. Dr. Cow in Brooklyn, New York, sells raw "cheese" that is made from nuts. It is delicious and can be ordered through mail order.</p>
<p>When I consider how much better I feel and how much weight I was able to lose simply by eliminating cheese and refined processed foods from my life, I will never look back. My health issues are under control and I feel better than ever. I never before realized how much <a href="http://www.mycheaphealthymeals.com/vegan-condiments/eating-healthy-vegan-cheese-sauce">eating healthy</a> can have an impact on our health. Now I am living proof!</p>

Tea seems to be making a come back in the United States and it may soon share a similar status as to that which it enjoys across the rest of the world.</p>
<p>The US has long been hypersensitive to health so it is always surprising that things we know to be healthy can take so long to catch on.  The Chinese have been using green tea as a weight control and corner stone of medicine for centuries.  And now as we are starting to study these benefits Americans are learning what has been known in the east for generations.</p>
<p>Since the time of Christ green herbal tea has been prepared in a similar fashion which involves exposing gathered tea leaves to air, this is done until excess moisture in the leaves has evaporated.  This must be done in a very dry environment to avoid mildew and to maximize the speed of the process.  Next, the leaves are roasted over, what has traditionally been a wood burning fire.</p>
<p>The dry leaves are moistened after roasting and rolled into balls which are subjected to very high pressure. This process flattens the tea and forces any remaining moisture out.  The pulverized leaves are then roasted over a charcoal fire under steady motion to avoid burning.  The process is complete when the leaves reach a dull deep green color.  At this point the tea is ready grading, packing and final processing.</p>
