I will start this post with an apology about the title as there are no easy ways for rapid weight loss. There are though certain tips, tricks and techniques you can follow that will eventually help you lose the extra pounds. These have nothing to do with the diets and weight loss products you will find on the market. The guidelines presented in this post are based on healthy principles, which is the only way to lose weight and keep it off. Any other way (pills, diets or products) may bring some short term results but in the long term they all fail.

1. The first thing you need to do is to check your health and make sure that you are ready to lose weight. This is important because many people may have problems (high blood pressure, low iron etc), and for them is not recommended to lose weight very fast. It is better to get the approval of your doctor before proceeding with your plans, this way will be safer and healthier for you and your health.

2. Second you should calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) and find out how much weight you should lose in order to reach your ideal weight. Maybe the amount of pounds you need to lose in more or less than what you have in mind. Find out our ideal weight and calculate the total amount of weight you want to lose. Once you have this number break your efforts into stages. For example if you need to lose 20 pounds then you can say that you will do this in 4 phases. In each phase your target will be to lose 5 pounds.

3. You should calculate how many calories you consume daily. This is needed so that you will be able to calculate how much calories you need to save on a daily basis in order to lose weight. To find out your daily calorie intake you need to create a list of everything you eat and drink during a day for 2 weeks. Next to each item find out the calories each food or drink contains and find the total amount per day. After you do this for 2 weeks find out the average daily consumption.

4. Normally the next step is to calculate how much calories you burn daily so that you can see how much calories you have to save in order to start losing weight but this is difficult because you need to calculate how many steps you perform, how many hours you sleep, sit etc. What you can do instead is to create your plan to save 300 calories from your food intake and exercise and physical activity will add to that as a bonus.

5. Revisit the list you created on step 3 above and try to see which food items and drinks can be removed or replaced from the list. Work out the different combinations until you create a total amount of calories that is 300 less than the original. This is the amount that will help you lose one pound in 2 weeks.

The above weight loss tips will help you achieve rapid results in a short amount of time but for long lasting results you need to be patient and willing to follow the above tips not only until you lose the extra weight but to make it your new lifestyle.
